THE OPPORTUNITY
Nigel Wright is thrilled to announce their support for a rapidly expanding enterprise-scale business as they seek to onboard an Infrastructure Specialist!
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the ICT Infrastructure Manager, playing a vital part in overseeing the management and delivery of the IT Infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include ensuring strict compliance with ICT policies while also meeting the dynamic demands of the business.
Salary  :  £37,000 - £46,000
Location  :  Thornaby
Hybrid working  :  Yes, 2 days on site, 3 from home  
Working Hours  :  Monday – Friday : with on call rota (approx. 1 week in 7)

THE ROLE
Your primary objective? To maintain an exceptional standard of safety, availability, and reliability across all ICT systems by executing various tasks with efficiency and precision.
  • Drive implementation, maintenance, and support for on-premises and infrastructure systems, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
  • Lead monitoring and optimization of infrastructure platforms for maximum efficiency.
  • Craft comprehensive documentation for seamless operations and innovation in ICT tools.
  • Spotlight areas for enhancement and propose bespoke solutions tailored to business needs, upholding industry gold standards such as ITIL frameworks.
  • Safeguard data integrity, security, and accessibility through robust IT continuity plans and cutting-edge technology.
  • Forge partnerships across technical and non-technical teams for swift issue resolution and operational enhancement.
  • Elevate your role as the go-to expert for complex incidents.
  • Align actions with business goals for maximum impact.
  • Liaise seamlessly with IT teams to communicate service outages accurately, minimizing disruption for users.
  • Champion collaboration with project management and virtual teams for seamless integration of solutions.
  • Manage group policies for a secure IT environment.
  • Build strong relationships with third-party partners for top-tier service delivery.
  • Stay updated with training and new processes to remain on the cutting edge.
  • Embrace ownership of tasks with enthusiasm and efficiency.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated success in infrastructure support and engineering roles.
  • Experience with Virtualization and VMWare technologies.
  • Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
  • Skilled in SAN/Storage provisioning and management.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management tools.
  • Competent in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
