Ingres DBA - 6-month contract, Inside IR35

Ingres DBA required for a hybrid, 6-month contract in Leeds City Centre, Inside IR35.

We're looking for someone who can ideally commit to 1 day per week, however, less frequency (monthly) visits will be considered.
We need a skilled and experienced Ingress DBA who can undertake the following activities:

• Undertake knowledge transfer from the current Ingres DBA
• Review the documented processes, schema and activities undertaken by the current Ingres DBA, identifying and capturing any gaps.
• Train member(s) of the DBA team in the documented processes and activities.
• Deliver the agreed documented processes and activities.

Typical activities will include:

• Running daily checks to ensure the database is up and running.
• Applying patches / running upgrades to the database as required.
• Undertaking any DBA activities required on the system in support of Year End processing that is undertaken between February and end March.
• Run database copies.
• Trouble shoot / root cause analysis of any issues that arise with the database.

You'll need to have experience of:

• Ingres database administration
• Linux server administration
