About the role To support our growth and drive consumer and insights centricity, a new Insights role has been created within the Marketing and Category Team.
The purpose of this role is to create, lead and deliver insights programmes to guide brand and innovation development and influence multiple stakeholders to deliver against our business ambitions and 5 year plan. Championing the consumer and shopper, leveraging strategic thinking and demonstrating actionable insights are at the heart of the role.
What will I be doing? • Identifying actionable insights to fuel our annual brand planning process across a portfolio of brands, in the UK and internationally (strategic scoping, situational analysis through to identifying foundational insights to directly influence brand & innovation development briefs).
• Developing bespoke insight programmes to support brand-led initiatives including brand comms & activation initiatives (validating, evaluating, refining and testing creative ideas with key audiences).
• Setting up the insights framework to support our innovation engine, fill NPD pipeline with winning ideas and optimise them for in market success in a fast paced environment.
• Leading brand equity tracking - identifying opportunities to optimize & improve existing approaches.
• Proactively bringing the 'outside in', harnessing insights and disseminating them for action and business impact.
• Identifying and trialling new methodologies to drive insight capability, best practice and agility into our ways of working.
What do I need to be successful? We are looking for a strategic thinker who is curious and passionate about people, trends, consumer & shopper behaviour.
Our ideal candidate will also be a dynamic team player that can build relationships and positively challenge to unearth and identify actionable insights that will drive value into our Business. Being able to flex and navigate ambiguity will be an asset, alongside the ability to work autonomously.
Functional requirements:
• Solid understanding and experience of a broad range of research and insights methodologies and projects (qual / quant / continuous) in an FMCG sector
• Solid experience in research or insight roles, some agency-side ideally
• Highly analytical, comfortable quickly surfacing insights and sharing them in engaging ways with various audiences
• Brilliant communication skills and able to build relationships internally and externally with partner agencies
• Skilled at working collaboratively and managing third party agencies
