With the renewable energy field growing faster than ever, Bright Side Recruitment Ltd is excited to be assisting a dynamic, forward thinking, specialist Solar PV Installation company in their search for a competent Project Manager (All industry related and product training is provided).

Based in Beckenham, the Project Manager vacancy is being offered on a full time, permanent basis. Working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm - Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch). The role also benefits from genuine career growth and progression opportunities, with a possibility of Hybrid working after a qualifying period.
The purpose of the role
The Project Manager will oversee every aspect of each solar installation - from start to completion. As the company is still evolving and growing, there is also the freedom to develop existing company processes to streamline projects - meaning that taking initiative is essential.
The role is diverse and dynamic and offers great training, insight, and experience in this exciting sector. You will be helping to ensure the customer receives highest level of service at every stage of project delivery.
This is what we are looking for:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
- Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft office (including Excel)
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to work under own initiative with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Desire to gain understanding and develop a career in the electrical and renewable energy sectors
- Experience of using AutoCad and industry specific software (SolarEdge Designer, Easy-PV, Van der Valk Design etc) is a bonus, but not essential
- Knowledge of organisation operational effectiveness

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Taking the lead role in ensuring efficient delivery of all projects and business operations
- Organising and scheduling of all resources and materials
- Liaising with suppliers ensuring best price and lead times for required materials
- Assisting with the design of solar panel placement, including schematics, string designs, ballast calculations and shading analysis
- Collate and record all key documentation for each project
- Provide regular progress updates to clients
- Working as part of a dedicated team, focussed on design clarity with occasional site visits and installation assistance when required.
