It isan exciting time to join Spy Alarms who are experiencing impressive growth. We are already one of the largest privately-owned installers of fire detection and security systems in the Southeast. The Spy group now has 75,000 customers across London and the southeast.

Job Outline

Spy Alarms is recruiting an additional Installation Manager to manage and coordinate the installation of alarm, access control, fire and CCTV security systems. We are looking to hire a commercially focused person with a relevant background in engineering, together with experience of managing the work of engineers and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the installation of alarm, access control, fire and CCTV security systems
  • Plan internal resources and subcontractors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation of personnel and materials
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
  • Measure and review project performance
  • Report and escalate to Operations Director as needed
  • Financial control of each job - develop process to monitor spend against quote
  • Control margin performance of each job and ensure financial targets are achieved
  • Report on overall margin performance and KPIs to senior management
  • Report on and explain overspend and margin variances
  • Input to budget and forecast process
  • Improvement of processes to report on and monitor work in progress.

Skills required

  • A background in engineering within the fire and security sector
  • Well-developed commercial focus and highly organised
  • Ability to manage and plan workloads, people and projects efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Strong numeric and analytical skills

Standard working hours are 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday.
