Kirkland Associates are working with a client who are leaders within their field to recruit a field-based Installations and Maintenance Engineer
Working autonomously driving a company van to customer sites to carry out installations, planned maintenance and ad-hoc servicing/repair work on our clients’ products within the north west of England
Field Engineer - Installations and Maintenance Key Responsibilities:
- Installation - working either individually or as part of a small team - using technical drawings to understand the required layout, checking components, install equipment to a professional standard, carrying out checks to ensure that everything is in good working order prior to signing the project off.
- Maintenance - carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks including fitting spare parts and conducting periodic force tests on powered gates.
- Servicing & Repairs - responding to customer reports of issues with faulty or damaged equipment, diagnose faults and carry out remedial work as required.
Field Engineer - Installations/ Maintenance - The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working in a similar Installations or Service Engineer role.
- Talent for working with both mechanical and electrical components.
- Able to interpret technical drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of our product range - notably electrical control equipment e.g. access controls, safety devices, single and three phase motor units.
- Able to use the range of hand-tools and equipment required.
- Able to use initiative to resolve problems.
- Organised, able to work autonomously & prioritise work.
- Participating in call-out rotas and working overtime/weekends where required
- Industry specific qualifications i.e DHF Safety Diploma, PASMA, IPAF, SSSTS, NVQ Level 2 Electrical Installation, BS7036, 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regs, CSCS Card holder
