The Opportunity
As Insulation Supervisor you will be responsible for the Coordination and control of all resources allocated to the project to maintain a productive working environment in direct support of the KAEFER contract at Shell, Mossmorran and Braefoot Bay.
Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations, you'll enhance the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting and looks for opportunities to expand systems.
Day to day accountabilities
- Check all operatives are wearing the correct PPE for allocated tasks and that they are “Fit for Purpose”
- All team members have signed onto all the RAMs associated with the evolutions that could be undertaken whilst working on the project.
- All team members have been briefed on the importance of Emergency Instructions/Procedures are known and understood.
- Inexperienced operatives are placed with an experienced operator (Buddy System) until they have site knowledge and have gained confidence.
- Task Assessment has been conducted and that the allocated personnel have a Daily brief/Instruction to Work.
- That all operatives complete a toolbox talk prior to commencing work.
- That the “Daily Log” is completed prior to the end of the working day
- Accurate timesheets are inputted to the Admin Staff each week in a timely manner
- Attendance to all required meetings (client and internal)
- Creation and management of PTW/Task Based Risk Assessments within client system P-Vision
- Liasing with Work Preperators to assist with cost estimates for future scopes of work
The Person
The ideal candidate for the role will be self-motivated with good communication skills, a high degree of self-reliance with appropriate technical skills, to ensure prompt responses are made based on mature technical judgement. Flexibility to adapt to constant change is essential to enable the incumbent to work in a highly motivated and empowered environment.
Essential:
- Previous Experience in a supervisory role
- TICA Supervisor Card
- Ability to read, interpret and follow method statements and procedures.
- Able to demonstrate good organisational skills, following policies, procedures and work practices, and developing improvements where necessary.
- Adaptable to changing circumstances and has the flexibility to adapt plans and schedules to meet unforeseen circumstances.
