We are looking for applications from people between Liverpool to Bankstown up to Parramatta and we have a 2nd role in Woolongong.


About The Role

You will be responsible for attending, inspecting and reporting on damage to domestic buildings of insured properties, ascertain the best report method and recommend a scope of work for Home Claims authorisation. In addition, you will work closely with a panel of builders ensuring they perform repairs to our customers’ homes to a high standard, in a timely fashion and for a fair and responsible price.


You will play a critical role in evaluating property damages, assessing claims, and ensuring accurate and fair settlements for our policyholders.


  • Attending client’s properties and accurately reporting on building damage to domestic insured properties
  • Providing accurate Scopes of Works for rectification works to be carried out on insurable events
  • Submitting reports, reviewing SOW’s and documentation in a timely manner (as per set SLA’s)
  • Determining and advising on the overall best method of repair of the building
  • Adhering to the company values and high customer service expectations
  • Customer satisfaction checks in relation to building repairs
  • Liaising with builders and external contractors
  • Compliance with statutory and industry and company requirements
  • Project Coordination & Management on complex / large loss claims
  • To achieve consistent adherence to key performance measures (KPI)
  • Virtual / desktop assessments & triage


About You

  • Experience in any of the building trades
  • Experience in managing quality building work and enhancing customer satisfaction on the insurance side ie Estimator, Supervisor or experience as an Assessor
  • Background in producing accurate scopes of works;
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
  • Reputable communication skills and conflict resolution handling;
  • Experience in managing, coaching and appraising builders;
  • Proven experience in building effective business relationships with builders;
  • Insurance experience preferred, but not essential.
