Key tasks & responsibilities:

  • To sample, test and take delivery of grain deliveries to the site ensuring all loads meet the Food Safety and Quality standards required.
  • To run the intake, drying and dressing plant to maximum efficiency.
  • To communicate daily with the Intake Manager to ensure established priorities are dealt with in a co-ordinated approach.
  • To always maintain correct health and safety standards, following company policies and procedures, and always taking a generally responsive and proactive approach to safety.
  • To maintain correct Food Safety, HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
  • To carry out cleaning and maintain cleaning schedules as required- team is solely responsible for intake plant hygiene.
  • To work flexibly and respond to the changing demands of the work, adapting to new work routines and practices accordingly.
  • To maintain good relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain safe, healthy and risk free working environment on shift

o Maintain health, safety and environment (HSE) standards.
o Implement safety, health & environmental legislation and procedures.

  • Maintain Food and Feed safety working environment.

o Maintain food safety and feed safety standards, including personal hygiene and working environment standards.
o Implement Quality standards, ensuring adherence to quality procedures.

  • Be self-confident and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
