About us and the role

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly regarded Integrated Disability Service Early Years’ Team and be part of Warwickshire’s SEND Change journey.

 

We are looking for a motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic practitioner to work with settings and families to support children transitioning or in their childcare. Applications from practitioners who are Portage trained are particularly welcomed.

 

As a Child Care Co-ordinator, you will provide support and advice to practitioners and families, empowering the child’s key adults to secure successful inclusive childcare.

 

As well as working with EY practitioners and families, you will work alongside other professionals from Health, Social Care and SEND, employing Early Support principles.

 

The successful applicant will work mainly in the north of the County but should be able to demonstrate that they can travel countywide.

 

The IDS 0-5 team combines Specialist Teachers, Child Development Advisers and Childcare Co-ordinators, who support children with a range of SEND in their home prior to nursery, or in their childcare or EY setting.
