Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable safeguarding practitioner to join our team.
The Sirona Integrated Safeguarding Team are looking to recruit a suitably qualified individual to assume responsibility as an Integrated Safeguarding Specialist Practitioner, with a particular focus on supporting safeguarding within the Haven service .
The post holder will also contribute to the development of strategy and associated framework that moves Sirona from viewing safeguarding as a binary issue to one where the staff Think Family.
This will include being a central point of information / support related to :
Asylum seekers and refugee children
Modern Day Slavery
Criminal and Sexual Exploitation
Contextual Safeguarding / Extra Familial Abuse
The post holder will assist the safeguarding team to develop a framework for Integrated Safeguarding practice paying particular attention to staff learning, development, support and supervision.
Working as part of the Integrated Safeguarding team, the post holder will focus on the safeguarding requirements of the Haven. The Haven provides specialist community healthcare service for asylum seekers and refugee children across BNSSG. The role will include providing targeted safeguarding supervision, advice and support.
The post holder will also work closely with the Safeguarding Team in the review and updating of the Safeguarding Training Strategy and associated policies and processes to advance this work as appropriate.
