Job description

As an Integration Technician, you'll play a crucial role within our Integration team, contributing to the development and integration of mechanical works for various projects. From prototype assemblies to fabrication and quality support, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting senior technicians, conducting tear-down analysis, performing first-article inspections, and maintaining equipment. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities as an Integration Technician:

  • Assist in building prototype assemblies, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Conduct tear-down analysis and failure investigations.
  • Support design for assembly and design for manufacturing activities.
  • Perform first article inspections using metrology and inspection equipment.
  • Document actions and maintain production and quality logs.
  • Plan in-house machining based on technical drawings and engineering plans.
  • Review designs for feasibility and propose changes when necessary.
  • Manage inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Utilize 3D printers for component production.
  • Maintain machine efficiency and safety protocols.
  • Complete first article inspections and provide technical reports.
  • Ensure continuity within the engineering department through documentation and communication.
  • Assemble components according to engineering drawings and standards.
  • Fulfill any additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements as an Integration Technician:

  • Qualifications: HNC/HND in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a mechanical assembly environment. Understanding of tooling, material properties, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with technical drawings and CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
  • Possess the ability to read/interpret mechanical engineering drawings?
  • Confident abilities to use MSOffice.
  • Be able to use measuring tools to check parts based of the dimensions on a drawing
  • Prior experience in using basic hand tools.
