As we embark on the next step of our journey, building the best railway Scotland has ever had, we are seeking an Interim Engineering Director to lead and direct the strategy for engineering and train presentation which optimises fleet performance and availability.
As Engineering Director, you will provide visible leadership to the Engineering Directorate, designing strategy and business planning so that all rolling stock meets business needs. A key aspect of this role is the significant acquisition of the new rolling stock which is central to our future plans.
You will be a visible and influential leader who uses your credibility and presence to engage, develop, and build strong teams who work to high performance and quality standards. Accountability for the delivery of engineering safety is crucial and experience in this area is important, as is drive and determination to deliver new technologies, sustainability, and decarbonisation.
As a key member of the ScotRail Executive team, you will provide technical expert advice to external partners and key stakeholders. You will be experienced in delivering excellence in a high-performing and multifaceted engineering environment, either in a transport or other safety critical and complex engineering environments.
