Interim Finance Director

Would you like to lead the new finance system implementation for a leading SME business based in Essex expected to double in size within the next 2 years?

Working closely with the CFO, you’ll be project leading the implementation of their new finance system for the business. This a newly created position where the project is expected to last 6-9 months.
Key Responsibilities -

- Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of financial systems and software.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within financial systems, performing regular audits and reconciliations.
- Identify areas for process improvement and automation within the finance department, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and implement system enhancements and modifications as needed.
- Generate financial reports and dashboards for management and department heads.
- Provide insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide training to finance and other department personnel on financial systems and software.
- Offer technical support to resolve system-related issues.
Candidates will ideally have -

- Proven experience as a Systems Accountant, Financial Systems Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
