An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Interim Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and ambitious group. With over four decades of experience in their industry, our client is seeking an individual with exceptional technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to deliver accurate and insightful financial data on time. This role offers the chance to manage a key area within the finance team, ensuring consistent compliance across the group. The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary of £400 - £425 per day via umbrella.

What you'll do:

As an Interim Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful Consolidated Group accounts and financial data for the business. You will work closely with the Finance Control team, demonstrating your technical skills, flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to deliver on time. Your responsibilities will span from producing accurate monthly consolidated Group accounts to supporting annual budgeting processes. You will also take ownership of smaller entities monthly management accounts, provide commentary on variances to budget, handle VAT returns, tax planning, accounting compliance planning, inter company reconciliations, bank reporting, and more.

* Produce accurate monthly consolidated Group accounts to tight deadlines
* Take ownership of smaller entities monthly management accounts
* Provide monthly commentary on variances to budget and re forecast
* Responsible for all entities VAT return and be the main liaison for VAT queries
* Take ownership of Group tax planning and all aspect of taxation matter
* Group planning for accounting compliance and new legislation
* Ownership of inter company reconciliations and forecasting
* Produce monthly bank reporting and commentary
* Support and input into the annual budget and periodic forecasting and produce the final consolidation
* Continuous review and improvements of internal audit procedures

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Interim Financial Accountant position is:

- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

- Experienced in accounts preparation, and audit.

- Someone with a proven track record of communicating financial information to non-finance colleagues and be familiar with accounting packages.

- Someone with the ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and over the telephone with individuals and a wide variety of organisations and audiences.
