Interim Group Tax Manager - Listed Manufacturing Company - Milton Keynes (3 or 4 days per week remote working) - Circa £80,000-£110,000 plus benefits package
Robert Walters are hiring for an Interim Group Tax Manager for a listed international manufacturing company based in Milton Keynes (but supporting up to 4 days per week remote working).
This is a full-time role on a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave.
It comes with a salary of circa £80,000-£110,000 plus benefits package.
Working closely with the Group Financial Controllers and with the support of finance colleagues and 3rd party tax advisors, the Group Tax Manager is responsible for looking after all the tax affairs of the business internationally, covering UK, Europe, USA and Australia.
The compliance is largely completed by local teams with support of the external advisors, and so the Group Tax Manager's compliance role is largely oversight and supporting on process improvement.
Instead their focus will be on responding to tax queries from the business, engaging in tax strategy and tax planning activities, tax project work and supporting commercial decision making.
Responsibilities include:
Tax Planning and Strategy
- Develop and implement tax-efficient approaches to optimise the Group's overall tax position
- Provide strategic advice on tax implications for various business initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
Risk management
- Identify and assess potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Work closely with external advisors to address complex tax issues and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Tax Reporting and Compliance
- Reporting consolidated Group tax numbers and disclosure notes under IFRS as well as for the half year interim statutory reporting
-Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all tax related returns
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the Group's tax position
- Calculating the Group ETR for budget and forecast processes
- Preparation of the CFC analysis and Cbc Reporting
Transfer pricing
- Manage and maintain transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with international guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor transfer pricing arrangements.
The company are looking for someone ideally able to start in January and happy to commit to a 1 year assignment
