RM Recruit is working in partnership with our Warwickshire based Charity client to recruit an Interim Head of Finance for circa 6 months. Applicants who are looking for Part Time hours will also be considered.
This is a key role within the charity where you will be part of the leadership team and reporting directly to the CEO, the post holder will lead and manage the Finance and function of the organisation. The post holder will also provide regular reports to the Board and Trustee Committees.
The remit of the role will include, but not be limited to:
Leading the finance team and delivering proposed projects in a timely manner
Strategic financial planning and overseeing the delivery of monthly Management Accounts
Spearhead various projects to full completion
Regular KPI reporting to CEO and Board of Directors
Develop and monitor financial procedures and systems to ensure accurate capture of financial information as required by Statute and Charities SORP.
Monitor the financial performance of the charity, developing strategies and actions to address any underperformance.
Financial Controls and processes regarding the delivery of Gift Aid
Improving the efficiency of financial reporting
Prepare the year end accounts for annual audit in accordance with SORP and completion of annual returns for Charity Commission, liaising with external auditors, the Chief Executive, the Board of Trustees as appropriate.
Preparation and review of financial data for Fundraising applications and business planning.
Line manage and support the finance team on all financial and transactional processes required for production of timely monthly financial reports.
As the ideal candidate, you will be Qualified (ACA,ACCA,ACMA,CIPFA) with proven experience in the Charity and Not for Profit arena however, those who are qualified by experience or Part Qualified will be considered provided they have a genuine interest in working in the charity sector. You will also be available immediately or on short notice with the view of interviews to be pencilled in ASAP.
