Job description

The opportunity;
Wee delighted to be working with an international industrial organisation in Hartlepool who are going through an exciting period of growth and modernisation.  This is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months to support the Head of HR and lead on a number of people related projects.
The Role;
Based in Hartlepool, this is an operational role to support the site leadership teams and lead a number of business improvement projects.  Key elements of the role include;
  • first point of contact for colleagues across two sites, coaching and developing the management teams through all people related activities.
  • addressing issues around long term and short term absence, developing and embedding health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • developing management capability and enabling managers to drive high performance within their business areas.
  • developing and embedding employee engagement activities.
  • working with external parties on recruitment and onboarding.
  • leading on learning and development activities across the site.
  • supporting organisational change and restructuring activities.
  • improving policies and procedures and ensuring they are fit for purpose.
  • supporting the wider HR team on both local and global projects.
  • continually improving processes and ways of working.
  • HR administration and coordination.

This role offer hybrid working with 4 days on site and 1 day home based.
The Person;
The suitable candidate will be a highly experienced HR generalist with good operational experience gained in a similar role.  You will be;
  • a self starter, someone who can work autonomously and independently.
  • able to support strategic and operational elements of the role.
  • able to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • effective at building strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • good at developing employee engagement activities an developing effective ways to communicate colleagues.
