Your Company:
A highly successful healthcare services business is collaborating with the talent acquisition team at NET Recruit on their search for an Interim HR Project Manager to spear head a new project in the West Mercia area. The position itself is a 6-month fixed term contract. The business is continuing to expand its offerings and services, and have consequently planned a project for 2024, delivering specific healthcare services within an existing establishment and therefore require a proactive and knowledgeable Project Manager to develop and launch this project seamlessly.
The position holder will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, in order to gain an understanding of the requirements for the scope of the project and then will ensure that all the facilities, staff and support is in place to execute the launch of the service within the specified location. The scope of the project will be to provide healthcare services to a specific customer, ensuring that the service meets expectations and requirements, is delivered in a timely manner and with set budgets. You'll be liaising with the customer, internal teams, external healthcare providers and other stakeholders to gain and understanding of requirements, plan and deliver a service that meets these and ensure that in can continue running cohesively in the future. There will be a need to provide support for a few months after the implementation of the project, to ensure the successful running of the service within the first 3 months.
Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Taking ownership over the complete project lifecycle, from planning and developing the project, to the implementation and delivery stage, taking responsibility for deliverables such as time scales, customer requirements and the budget
  • Managing the TUPE process (for both in and out) ensuring that due diligence and data transfer processes are handled promptly and professionally
  • Ensuring that resources are attained and are in place for the project, from liaising with operations, to implementing IT infrastructure, bringing together the service delivery team to strengthen links across the project
  • Building strong relationships with and coordinating external and internal stakeholders, providing your expertise in relation to the project, alongside gathering requirements for the project, and gathering input to develop the project framework, which satisfies checks relating to clinical, quality, finance and planning outlines
  • Creating reports and time sensitive updates regarding the project development, highlighting any variances from the original plan in both budgets, resources and time scales, ensuring these variances are investigated, that effective solutions are in place and making sure there is an audit trail covering all changes
  • Proactively identifying possibility improvement opportunities and the responses this might entail from various teams, via excellent understanding of operational requirements for the business
  • Taking the lead at and attending meetings with internal board members, stakeholder groups, sub-contractors, healthcare partners and other teams to present briefs and recommendations for the projects
  • Ensuring adherence to internal governance assurance processes, engaging with senior clinical managers, promoting high quality submissions for contract and performance

What you will need to Apply:
The business is searching for experienced Project Managers to apply for this role. Candidates MUST also have HR Generalist experience as well, and the possession of a CIPD qualification or the desire to work towards this is highly desirable. Excellent communication abilities and a high level of attention to detail are paramount to success. Specifically, it is desired that applicants will come from a healthcare/medical project management background, particularly with experience of implementing healthcare services, either within the NHS, a provider or comparable independent sector healthcare establishment. Candidates should be educated to a high level (ideally Masters level) within a relevant field or subject and possess a Prince2 certification. Applicants must be able to effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders, including clinical leaders and be able to translate clinical terminology and language into easy to understand and factual information.
Applicants must be happy with taking a contract position that may not become permanent and be able to start the position at the soonest convenience.
