Salary***URGENT ROLE*** Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with a highly respected and rapidly transforming engineering company (c5000 FTEs) to recruit an Industrial Relations Lead, into an exciting 3-6 month fixed term contract (with possible extension).
Accountable to the Head of HR, this role will provide expertise, knowledge and communications across several Industrial Relations projects and initiatives, whilst managing relationships with the Trade Unions.
Specific duties.
- Lead the Industrial Relations strategy.
- Lead collective consultations and negotiations.
- Review collective bargaining agreements.
- Lead on sensitive and complex IR matters
- Provide technical expertise and advice to the HR, ER teams and HRBPs.
- Maintain strong engagement / relationships with the Unions on a formal and informal basis.
- Work with the Unions to evolve relationships and facilitate organisational change & improvements.
- Ensure legal compliance across all facets of IR.
- Providing expertise and advice to change projects across IR matters.
- Support HR with ongoing transformation projects.
"We urgently need an inspiring and confident Industrial Relations expert, who lives and breathes IR and can hit the ground running, with minimal supervision" - You will have proven and significant success across the full spectrum of ER and IR, gained within heavy engineering / manufacturing (or similar) type-environments.
You will be a highly effective negotiator and influencer, adept at handling difficult, demanding, and complex negotiations with Unions, coupled with a proven record of accomplishment in creating 'win/win' solutions and avoiding industrial action.
You will also be an excellent project manager, a strong analyst, creative, innovative and a strong presenter - confident, credible, and able to quickly capture and retain the attention of varying levels of audience / stakeholder.
N.B. Due to the urgent nature of this role, suitable candidates must be available to start within a month of being offered. Interviews are being held w/c 15th January.
