Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with one of Norfolk's major employers who are planning to bring their payroll back in-house.

The initial requirement would be for an interim Payroll Manager to join the business and be part of the project team in implementing the new system and then appoint a Payroll Manager to take responsibility for processing the payroll. However, if you are immediately available or free at short notice, they may make the position permanent.
Your new role
This newly created Payroll Manager's job will be ideally suited to a CIPP Payroll specialist who has experience of implementing or at least upgrading an integrated ERP / Payroll system such as iTrent, Agresso etc., as you will work closely with their IT software provider in ensuring the correct internal processes are implemented.

Once the procedures and processes are in place, you will take the lead in running a parallel payroll for 3-months along with their current outsourced payroll partner, to ensure a smooth transition to the new in-house system.

The company has already agreed on the payroll system, and they need your expertise in implementing the "back-office" processes to include the downloading of the monthly payroll data from their businesses, uploading into the new system as well as including new starters, assisting in the production of procedural notes, ensuring the system processes the standard payroll Statutory deductions, RTI reports are produced and in time, payroll reports for HR & the wider finance team.
What you will need to succeed
You will be an experienced Payroll specialist who has been ideally involved in a new system project or at least a knowledgeable Payroll Manager who is fully aware of the end-to-end payroll process along with the Statutory HMRC deductions.

You will understand the four core elements in payroll - People - Processes - Technology & Data and, with your expertise, adaptability and commitment, you will play a crucial role in bringing the payroll back in-house.

Ideally, you will have a proven payroll qualification - CIPP along with at least 5-years experience of managing payroll and have the vision to deliver excellent customer service to over 1200 employees regarding their monthly pay.
