I am recruiting a SEND Senior Officer with a passion for leading a team to effectively support children and young people, on behalf of a Local Authority client.
The scope of this role is to lead a team of ten case officers to drive throughput and ensure that the experienced case officers within the team have the support that they need to work effectively on complex cases and move them towards the production of high-quality EHCPs.
We are therefore looking for an experienced leader within SEND to take on this role, with experience managing teams and a strong in-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice. This team of ten form part of a wider team totalling 34 professionals, and you will receive support from the team manager, and two other senior officers.
The team that will report into the successful candidate will undertake casework and collate information from the point where an EHC Needs Assessment has been agreed to, up to the issuing of an EHCP if decided at panel that this is required. This is to help the authority tackle a significant backlog of Assessments.

- End date: 11th May 2024 pending potential further extension for up to 2.5 years
- Working arrangements: Remote
- Rate of pay: £375 per day
