In the IKEA world, we call this position a Interior Design Co-worker.
Expected Starting Date: 17th February 2024
Interviews will take place: 29th Jan - 2nd Feb 2024

  • Starting Salary of £25,600 based on experience and qualifications.
  • Permanent role.
  • 39 hours weekly, working 5 days out of 7 & 1 in 5 Sundays.
  • Occasional weekend working based on business projects.
  • Working between 7am - 3:30pm.

This role might require availability to occasionally work late evenings, weekends, and night shifts. Shifts may change according to business/project need.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:
With a great deal of passion, imagination and brainstorming we turn colours, textiles and furniture into inspiring environments that excite, engage, and convince IKEA visitors that they can do it too!
It is essential that you have a relevant Interior Design or Architecture Qualification or relevant interior design experience within a retail or home furnishing setting. You are able to demonstrate a keen eye for aesthetics supported by commercial visual competence. You are passionate about home furnishing, design and how people live at home.
You will possess practical, hands-on skills, and be comfortable working with a variety of hand tools and working at height. You have a flexible mind set and collaborative working approach, actively trying to improve your working methods in a simple and cost-effective way.
You will also be computer proficient, with knowledge and experience of using Revit or similar.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:
  • Contribute to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
  • Apply your home furnishing knowledge to ensure up-to-date room settings and other store media that exceed our visitors’ expectations.
  • Stimulate and inspire interest for home furnishing by constantly showcasing new solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently.
  • Reflect the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support and Co-worker areas.

Third stage, If successful you will be sent a task to complete & return and be invited to an interview where you will be able to present & discuss your task, (please bring your portfolio) Interviews will take place week commencing 29th January 2024
Final Stage if successful you will be invited to a Grandparent interview with one of our Managers.
