Job description

About The Role

  • Learn and apply interior repair techniques to restore automotive vehicle components such as seats, carpets, dashboard trims, and other fixtures.
  • Assist experienced technicians in the repair process, under their guidance and supervision.
  • Develop a strong understanding of interior repair materials, tools, and processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and practices to create a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet repair targets.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Keep detailed records of repair work, maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skillsets and stay updated with industry advancements.
  • This may include both theoretical and practical training, aimed at building your proficiency in dent identification, assessment, and repair techniques. Upon successful completion of the training period, you will be equipped with the necessary skills to perform repairs independently.
  • Offsite training will be required.

Whilst our Coalville site is undergoing refurbishment, your role will be based at Wymeswold Airfield, Prestwold Lane LE12 5SH.

About You

No prior experience in interior repair is required; we are seeking individuals looking to start their career with a genuine interest in learning and a strong work ethic.

You will be someone that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on attitude and at heart with a data-driven mindset, sharing fresh ideas for how to apply best practice to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.

  • Passion for automotive vehicles and a keen eye for detail
  • A basic understanding of automotive interiors and components is advantageous.
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle various tools and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to take direction from senior technicians and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Adaptable and open to learning new techniques and processes.
  • Time management skills to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality results and customer satisfaction.

A valid UK driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
