Intermediate Interior Designer Job in New York, NY, USA

A new opening for an Intermediate Interior Designer job, at a prestigious design firm located in Lower Manhattan, New York. This position will concentrate on upscale hospitality projects around the world, working alongside a skilled group of designers and architects. The role offers a starting salary of up to $105,000, along with additional benefits.

The company boasts an eclectic design philosophy, shaped by influences from experiences, art, and design. They have establishments in both New York and London and have executed projects worldwide. With a robust lineup of upcoming projects, they are in search of an Interior Designer who has at least 5 years of experience in hospitality and possesses a keen interest in distinctive interior spaces.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist the design team across the full design life cycle from concept to completion
• Produce concept design documents for high-end hospitality projects (2D, 3D, and hand-sketches)
• Production of design documents across DD, CD sets, and scheduling
• Liaise with fabricators and vendors for bespoke pieces, lighting, and joinery
• FF&E specification and design; keeping up to date on trends.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of industry experience in hospitality design
• Degree qualified in interior design or similar
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite
• Experience producing 2D drawings and 3D renderings
• FF&E specification and procurement experience.
