Manchester Summer Intern 

Manchester

Start Date – 24th June 

Duration – 10 weeks


Main Responsibilities 

We are looking for an intern to join us this summer, working in our technology team.

We are looking for an Intern Automation Test Analyst to help support our IT modernisation efforts, who will be required to drive forwards the end to end testing of key system developments. You will have knowledge and experience in testing (both manual and automation) to assist with a business-critical organisation wide programme of work. 
As a function, we strive to remain focussed, improve our agility, ensure greater operational resilience and improve the Bank’s ability to handle and use data.  This is an exciting time for Handelsbanken UK, and this role presents a significant opportunity that will enable the chosen intern to play a part in the UK Bank’s modernisation efforts.  

As an intern you’ll follow a structured programme, Giving you a real insight into our culture and organisation along with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within Banking. 

You’ll spend your first few weeks understanding the core principles of our business, before taking on your own responsibilities that will see you gain hands on experience and develop skills for the future in a friendly and supportive environment. As part of your support network you will be assigned a buddy and have regular check in with your line manager. 

During the programme you will also work with other interns on a business project, giving you the opportunity to further develop your team work, creative thinking and presentation skills.

This will be a one stage interview process.  Interviews will take place virtually and will last 30 minutes.  You will be advised of the questions to be asked ahead of your interview. Interviews will take place between 19th February and 8th March.
