Branch Summer Intern
Edinburgh
Start Date – 24th June
Duration – 10 weeks
Main Responsibilities
We are looking for a branch intern to join us this summer, working in our Edinburgh branch.
We have over 145 Branches operating across the UK, Our decentralised business model is key to its success. Each branch operates as a small business, enabling it to make decisions locally and to provide a service that is truly bespoke. Whilst key steering systems are in place to guide them; the branch is granted full autonomy to decide the structure and pricing of products, which directly benefits the customer through swift decision-making.
During your internship, you will be working in a small team of financial professionals, accountable for providing a bespoke customer experience. There will be ample scope for you to develop your banking knowledge within both the Individual and Corporate markets. The branch has a diverse customer base and you will have the opportunity to engage with customers and professionals at all levels throughout a variety of customer journeys.
Our Summer internship programme runs from 24th June to the 31st August. We are looking for individuals to commit to the full ten week duration of our internship programme.
As an intern you’ll follow a structured programme, Giving you a real insight into our culture and organisation along with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within Banking.
You’ll spend your first few weeks understanding the core principles of our business, before taking on your own responsibilities that will see you gain hands on experience and develop skills for the future in a friendly and supportive environment. As part of your support network you will be assigned a buddy and have regular check in with your line manager.
During the programme you will also work with other interns on a business project, giving you the opportunity to further develop your team work, creative thinking and presentation skills.

This will be a one stage interview process. Interviews will take place virtually and will last 30 minutes. You will be advised of the questions to be asked ahead of your interview. Interviews will take place between 19th February and 8th March.
