Our leading Douglas-based client are a well respected specialist Corporate Service Provider with an expanding portfolio. As they continue to grow, an opportunity has arisen for an Internal Audit Administrator.
The Internal Audit Assistant will support the local Internal Audit team through responding to requests for information from internal and external auditors of client companies as part of their duties under client contract. You will provide input to the Internal Audit Senior Manager in their position as audit coordinator for the external audit of the corporate entities.
Specific duties will include:
Providing assistance with planning the work required and co-ordinating with the auditors internal and external audit as required Support the Senior Manager in ensuring that internal controls are effective, risks are managed, and operations are conducted in compliance with applicable standards and regulations Liaise with internal and external auditors to understand audit requirements and to identify how any information requested can be obtained Collate audit deliverables requested and provide within the defined deadlines Assist in providing regular briefings to auditors and respond to follow up queries Contribute to the weekly progress reports for audit work, based on audit plan, and assist in maintaining an issues log so that improvements can be made with the process going forward Assist in developing a detailed audit plan, including an estimate of time taken to complete individual work packages Assist in establishing milestones and stages with deadlines and use these for regular progress reports and to reassess the time required to complete the remaining work Support the implementation of new IT systems Liaise with the rest of the Internal Audit team to ensure that the internal and external audit plans are progressing as expected The ideal candidate for this role will have:
A minimum of 3 years' relevant bookkeeping experience Experience using accounting software for bookkeeping and reporting bility to use Microsoft applications, especially Excel Experience of working in a busy office environment Able to manage and prioritise own work in order to achieve deadlines Flexible and willing to support other team members Accuracy and attention to detail Comfortable contacting other team members in other fields/locations Interested in training as an accountant
