We have a fantastic opportunity for an Internal Business Development Manager to join our close-knit & friendly team at Stokesley to help us develop and continue our growth at Sunbelt Rentals Test & Monitoring.

In this exciting  Business Development role your duties will include: 

  • Sales enquiry management
  • Customer relationship management
  • Liaise closely with Field based National BDM,s on a continual basis to define daily, weekly & monthly ongoing strategies, this will include categorising customers, target & potential lists.   
  • Quoting management with diarised follow up and identify further opportunities to cross & upsell. 
  • Identify, build relationships with agreed Customer base  with the potential to increase spend. 
  • Understand reasons for reduced spend, poor performing or lost accounts. Devise strategy with Field based BDM to recover loses.   
  • Create Linkedin presence.
  • Work with Internal / Central marketing teams to create Email shots, launching new / existing products to targeted customer segments.

To succeed as a Internal Business Development Manager  you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

  • Demonstrable administrative and customer service skills 
  • Strategic thinker
  • Previous rental & product sales experience and product sales knowledge (Desirable)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills - including negotiating and influencing.
  • You’ll have the ability to engage and build relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team - you'll be an effective team member with a highly supportive, collaborative approach
  • Results driven approach
  • Comfortable using your own judgment and initiative to make decisions in line with our company policies and pricing structures
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, you’ll enjoy a varied working day in a fast-paced operational environment where you’ll manage multiple tasks, deadlines and targets whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, puts forward and acts on suggestions to improve processes and service levels
  • A good level of computer literacy in MS Office packages and ideally in Sales Operating systems. You’ll embrace learning new IT systems and enjoy making the most of technology in your job role.
