The role – what is involved?

We are currently looking for an in-house recruiter with construction consultancy experience to be based in any of our UK office offices. The successful candidate will support the recruitment process in identifying talent for the business through direct sourcing, talent mapping and building talent pools.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

  • Understanding our market and mapping potential candidates against current vacancies
  • Undertaking responsibility for the delivery of ‘live’ vacancies and working directly with hiring managers
  • Networking and direct sourcing through LinkedIn
  • Building relationships with hiring managers / senior stakeholders understanding their specific requirements and developing relevant talent pools
  • Representing Currie & Brown when speaking with candidates in the marketplace in a professional manner
  • Building relationships with candidates and managing them through the recruitment process


What skills and attributes are we looking for:

  • Technical construction consultancy recruitment delivery experience gained within a UK-based construction consultancy
  • Experience of recruiting quantity surveyors, project managers and building surveyors
  • High proficiency in using Boolean searches and direct sourcing on LinkedIn
  • Experience in using an ATS and job boards for candidate searches
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
  • A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
