SalaryOur client is a leading producer and supplier of transmission equipment for industry, with over 75 years’ of supplying different types of gears, motors and jacks across various industries. As part of their growth strategy and subsequent restructure, they are now actively looking for an Internal Sales Manager to join their Head Office team.
- £40,000 - £45,000 + end of year bonus
- Monday – Friday – 07:30 – 16:15
- Office based near Halifax, with some work from home if required.

The role:
- Leading a team of 4 Internal Sales engineer – this team is intended to grow to 5 Internal Sales engineers imminently.
- Responsible for distributing sales enquiries to the team and management of the full sales process.
- Develop and grow the Internal Sales function in line with company strategy.
- Preparing quotations for geared motors, gearboxes, couplings and critical spare parts such as gears, bearing seal kits and associated products.
- Supporting the regional Sales Managers (team of 5) and the distribution and business development operations.
- Running sales meetings and generating reports for the UK Head of Sales.
- Responsible for inputting sales orders and confirmation into the system (Oracle)
- Discussing technical requirements and offering a solution focused service and required products.
- Managing accounts and discount levels for larger/on-going accounts.
- Annual visit to India every February (1 week) for the Global Group meeting.
Experience:
- Experience of leading a sales team.
- Use of a complete sales system (SAP, salesforce, oracle etc.)
- Gearbox and drives experience is desirable, however, some knowledge of pumps, motors or rotating equipment would be sufficient alongside the internal training provided.
- Mechanical or technical background and understanding is highly desirable.
- IT literate – Microsoft packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
