Internal Suspension Lead - Culture and Ethos: 
You will be the Internal Suspension Lead and cultural ethos lead at a school that prides itself on preparing children for their lifelong journey ahead. The area this school serves has its own challenges, with many children from disadvantaged families and a high level of deprivation. Your students are coming to school for a safe space and have an abundance of pastoral care available to them and their families. Here, they are empowered and motivated, they feel like their voices are heard. They are even involved in the interview process of new staff, so be prepared for their questions!  
Academy leaders have made vast improvements to the curriculum in the past few years, and you will be clear on what you need to teach. In your lessons students embark on a journey covering content and developing skills through engaging and practical activities. They will experience a fluid movement throughout KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5 where applicable.

This secondary school is based in Birmingham and is recruiting a permanent Suspension Lead. You will be helping KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5 where applicable, to pupils and inspiring pupils to exceed their target grades. The successful candidate will need to be able to start in September or ealier if wanted. 
Salary: £21,000 - £25,000
 
To be successful in your application, you should; 
 
• Have knowledge of working in a school
• Be able and willing to travel to the Birmingham area 
• Have high expectations of yourself in your career and the pupils you teach
