Internal Technical Sales Engineer – UK Based
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Excellent company benefits
We are seeking a UK-based Technical Sales Engineer to work closely with the UK Business Development Director and globally distributed engineering teams to proactively develop solutions to a wide variety of customer requirements within the Mining Industry.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Preparation of Quotations
Liaise with sub-suppliers and request quotations
Define solutions to customer requirements
Researching solutions and making recommendations
Following up on new leads
Liaising with customers to understand requirements
Compile proposals
Marketing activities / attending conferences and exhibitions
Creating content for marketing activities
Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain company CRM databases
Be capable of operating efficiently across multiple projects simultaneously
Proactively develop contacts
Self motivated and self sustaining
Qualifications / Experience
- Engineering background in either Mechanical, Electrical or Electrical Controls System background
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline
- Ability to read Technical Drawings
- Technical sales experience within a complex system integration environment (Desirable)
- Intermediate (minimum) to advanced (desirable) skills in MS Excel
- Preference given to those with AutoCad / Inventor skills
- Strong communication skills
- A second European language an advantage - (German language skills a bonus)
Salary: Dependent on experience.
