Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic and highly organized individual to join the international controller change management team. This individual will play a crucial role in assisting with the development of key International (EMEA) regulatory reporting modules within AxiomSL ControllerView.
The International Controllers group is responsible for regulatory, financial and management reporting requirements in across EMEA, APAC & Canada. The team provides local support for varied financial services business lines as well as the International CFO/ management team.
In this role, you will:
- Work in the International Controllers change management team, assisting with the development of key International (EMEA) regulatory reporting modules within AxiomSL ControllerView.
- Assist in writing user stories to reflect the business requirements of various regulatory reporting modules and liaise with technology team members through Agile scrum methodology to ensure requirements are understood.
- Ensure, where possible, that operational risk through manual processes is minimised, leverage digital tools (Alteryx, Tableau etc) to develop automated solutions where technology solutions are unavailable.
- Analyse regulatory guidance and provide SME insights when forming requirements for reporting modules, challenging existing approaches in a thoughtful manner where appropriate to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Assist in documenting processes and decisions as part of project delivery to reporting teams.
- Experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting, Risk Reporting, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Deep knowledge of core regulatory and financial reporting responsibilities and outputs (capital & liquidity, financial & statistical, core financial reporting) for UK, France, Ireland, Singapore and Canada (with US reporting advantageous), plus broad knowledge of the financial services industry, products, and services.
- Strong technical understanding of rulesets and reporting instructions connected with above regimes authorities.
- Understanding of risks and mitigating controls expected within a regulatory reporting function.
- Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum) project delivery methodology and track record of delivering regulatory change in this environment.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team structure.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present concisely and accurately to senior audiences.
- Intuitive; fast learner with good problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated success with collaborating and positively influencing business units to identify, formulate, and implement processes/procedures to drive change.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, independent thinker and quick decision maker.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
