The role

Join our dynamic International Partnerships Team at the University of Bristol as the International Partnerships Officer within our Global Engagement Division.

The International Partnerships Officer will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a portfolio of recruiting partnerships, playing an essential role in the identification, relationship management, approval and ongoing maintenance of each partnership. You will line manage one International Partnerships Assistant who is responsible for delivering our incoming visits from key stakeholders.
Within the role you will also lead on key operational remits within the team; acting as the main liaison with the Admissions Team and the International Partnerships Assistant on visits.

What will you be doing?

  • Partnership Development: You will be responsible for a portfolio of partnerships, fostering new opportunities while sustaining existing partnerships and relationships. You will regularly review your portfolio to ensure we are on track to meet team and University objectives.
  • Build Stakeholder Relationships: Your ability to build collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders will be instrumental to the success of your partnerships. You will use these relationships to influence key contacts and ensure continued support for the partnerships.
  • Operations: You will lead on supporting the admissions of students via the team’s partnerships, working closely with colleagues in Admissions, as well as compiling regular updates to internal stakeholders on performance.
  • Visits: You will coordinate, organise and delegations and overseas visits to partners, as well as maintain oversight of incoming visits to the University.
  • Line Manage: You will provide direct line management for the International Partnerships Assistant.

  • Experience using different sources of information to analyse and create briefings and/ or reports
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, diplomacy and persuasiveness
