The Professional Services team at SF Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Inventory Analyst to join their expanding team.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As an Inventory Analyst, you will play a vital role in assessing warehouse inventory levels, strategizing for present and future merchandise needs based on sales projections, and overseeing the various stages of freight transportation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate warehouse inventory levels and prioritize redistribution as necessary.
- Analyze sales forecast reports to efficiently place orders.
- Ensure seamless replenishment processes to prevent back orders.
- Identify high-priority and slow-moving items for strategic action.
- Generate detailed inventory reports for decision-making.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies with effective solutions.
- Coordinate international deliveries and monitor shipment progress.
- Manage customs procedures for imported goods.
- Proactively identify potential delivery delays due to slow-moving items.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and ensure timely data updates.
- Foster strong relationships with shipping companies and suppliers.
- Compile and analyze transportation cost data.
- Develop and maintain product specification sheets.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- A-level or Bachelor's degree.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in purchasing or replenishment.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Prior experience in inventory analysis is preferred.
- Knowledge of landed costs, customs taxes, and goods receipt processes is advantageous.
- Experience with distributors is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
