The role
As an Inventory Planning Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role in the United Kingdom's Defence strategy at home and overseas in theatre. This is an exciting and rewarding programme, the importance of which cannot be understated.

Day to day, you'll review emerging trends and flag to ILS for root-cause analysis.

  • Manage and maintain the data integrity of the Inventory supply plan used on the contract.
  • Monitor and report on performance against internal and external KPIs and SLAs
  • Oversee the full end-to-end spares/repairs supply chain planning process, co-ordinating stakeholders as required.
  • Support and input into the development and continuous improvement of Inventory planning processes and procedures

This is a full-time role with 37 hours per week and will be based in Plymouth, Devon with hybrid working from home arrangements. There will be a requirement to travel onsite, once a week or as required.

Essential experience of the Inventory Planning Specialist:

  • Experience in providing excellent customer service and ability to effectively build and manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demand and supply planning experience
  • Effective time and workload management skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across the project.

Qualifications for the Inventory Planning Specialist:

  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4 Maths and English

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
