Role: Investigation Officer – Hertfordshire Based
Contract Length: Anticipated 13 months, until March 2025
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Pay Rate: Up to £159.54 per day pay range subject to IR35 status
Investigation Officers are responsible for planning and executing investigations into potential serious criminal activities, working closely with Senior Investigation Officers. They play a crucial role in supporting the case-building process and facilitating the disclosure process.
Key accountabilities:
Plan and conduct investigations into suspected serious criminal activity in collaboration with Senior Investigation Officers
Support case building and disclosure process.
Assist with applications to the High Court for search warrants.
Review evidence and other material gathered during investigations.
Create and maintain accurate and detailed case records
Key requirements:
Experience of working within CID or a similar department.
Experience of seizure of exhibits, continuity of evidence, and seize/sift legislation including experience of disclosure and scheduling of material within serious criminal cases.
Knowledge of CPIA legislation.
Competency in completion of case files and ability to liaise with prosecuting agencies.
PIP1/2 certification or qualified by experience/Grandfather Rights.
Excellent communication skills.
Full driving licence.
Competency on Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word and Excel.
