We are currently looking to appoint an Investment Oversight Manager. This role will be directly responsible for the specific oversight of RLMIS assets across private markets and assets classes including Real Estate, Infrastructure, Alternatives and Private Credit.

The Investment Office defines the Group’s investment philosophy and beliefs, develops and reviews the Group’s investment strategy and strategic asset allocation in line with the investment risk framework across the Group’s investment propositions and is tasked with the implementation and oversight of this investment strategy inter alia by appointing and overseeing the asset managers in managing the Group’s investment portfolios.
About the role
- Direct responsibility for oversight and assessment of investment performance, operations and implementations across Private Assets classes.
- Responsible for the Private Assets oversight framework including use of relevant data, methodologies, analytics and insight to drive and deliver good customer outcomes.
- Undertake manager reviews (using 4Ps assessment framework) across range of Private Assets and manager types.
- Day to day responsibility for relationship with outsourced providers and asset managers who deliver this.
- Responsible for managing the planning and prioritisation of implementations, assessment of value / efficiency and delivery of customer outcomes.
- Play a leading role in mentoring, managing, and developing Investment Office analysts and contributing to the development and success of the Investment Office and wider Royal London Group
About you
- Asset class knowledge across Private Assets, with appropriate levels of specialism in key private asset classes.
- Understanding the macro/investment environment, ability to systematically gather, interpret and apply insight.
- Manager review skills (including using the 4Ps framework) and underlying knowledge across a range of asset and managers.
- Markets knowledge, across a range of security types including basic structuring skills and general understanding of fund operations and investment management processes.
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills with experience of interacting with multiple departments and individuals.
