SalaryA Wealth & Asset Management business based in London are looking for an Investment Risk Manager to join their expanding risk function. This role will work closely with the business, providing advice on a day-to-day basis. As a newly created role this is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to bring fresh ideas to a Risk function always looking to improve & better themselves.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor risk metrics versus defined risk levels including VaR, tracking error, benchmark, fund and market volatility, asset concentration, liquidity, diversification, leverage limits.
- Provide robust oversight and challenge in the identification of Investment Risk issues.
- Design, develop and analysis of market and liquidity stress testing of funds.
- Analysis and interpretation of risk and performance data relative to risk factors, benchmarks and peer groups including derivative positions using a variety of metrics & measures.
- Set appropriate Investment Risk limits to ensure the risk profiles of the funds are in line with the investment objectives.
- Develop and maintain Policies and Procedures.
- Work with product development teams to ensure an appropriate risk assessment and liquidity stress testing.
- Contribute to ad hoc project or other assignments.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years Investment Risk experience with in a similar Wealth or Asset Management business.
- Strong knowledge of UCITS & AIFMD
- Excellent IT skills, including previous experience using Factset. Bloombert PORT and high-level Excel knowledge.
- Analytical thinker, must be comfortable working autonomously at times whilst supported by the broader Risk function.
- Excellent communication skills essential.
