Job Title:IoT Security Certification Manager - Smart/Connected Devices

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We have an exciting opportunity for IoT Security Certification Manager to join our growing Digital Connected Products Team.
In this role you will be enabling and delivering high-quality product evaluation, the core purpose of the role will be to maintain and improve BSI s delivery of schemes as directed by our Global Digital Connected Product Certification Director.
You will work closely with our Test Labs, reviewing test data to make technical decisions and certification recommendations. You ll work closely with our clients and internal testing teams to ensure projects are delivered on-time, to agreed SLA s and within budget.
The position will also occasionally require attendance at trade shows, trade and technical committee meetings and there will be a requirement for occasional overseas travel.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
The Certification Manager plans, prioritises and supervises their own work to ensure delivery of projects in line with customer expectations and deadlines
Ensures certification applications are processed effectively, technical reports are reviewed, and certification recommendations are delivered.
Recommend the issue, re-issue, suspension or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures and prescribed timeframe.
Lead project, assessment and/or evaluation teams.
Proactively identifies and represents BSI s interests with external bodies (e.g. industry associations, standards committees and notified body working groups)
Proactively identifies new and/or amended product standards/directives and ensures BSI s certification schemes are kept up to date and relevant to current market needs
Work with Compliance and Risk team to ensure that the specific products offered in this area by BSI meet all regulatory requirements and that BSI is represented at all necessary meetings, committees, etc
Proactively identifies product development opportunities to support section and business development growth targets.
Works closely with the Sales Team, clients and test laboratories (BSI and external providers) to assess client enquiries and develop appropriate programmes to allow quotations for new certification projects to be prepared.
Proactively exhibits on behalf of BSI at relevant customer events to support business development and marketing initiatives.
Represent BSI s interests in relevant industry technical groups.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of Internet of Things, Smart Devices, Mobile Applications, Web applications with expertise on Product Cyber Security.
Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in an appropriate discipline and/or Qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience within defined Business Stream.
Ideally you will have knowledge of standards and/or other relevant documents and procedures for IoT, including ETSI EN (Apply online only), NISTIR 8425, IEC 62443 and OWASP standards.
Detailed knowledge in Cybersecurity and IoT ecosystem is essential
A strong knowledge in FIPS 140-3 and ISO 19790 security requirements for cryptographic modules would be a major advantage.
General knowledge of business principles and operating practices (commercial awareness).
Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements and a basic understanding of the law relating to intellectual knowledge, intellectual property rights and trademarks.
