SalaryA local Carmarthenshire independent pharmacy is now looking for a Pharmacist, ideally with an Independent Prescribing qualification, to join the team on a permanent , full-time basis.
The team provides a comprehensive range of NHS and private pharmacy services on top of prescription dispensing, with patients also able to access seasonal vaccination, emergency medication, lifestyle support, advisory services and more. Innovation is key and the team is always looking for ways to improve patient care, including imminent plans for a new PMR system that will further streamline pharmacy processes.
As an IP Pharmacist, you'll be joining a well-established team of fellow Independent Prescribers, Pharmacists, Technicians and Dispensers in providing enhanced community pharmacy care. As well as prescriptions, you will regularly support patients with their flu vaccinations, emergency contraception, common ailments (including the Sore Throat Test and Treat Service), to stop smoking, and other primary care concerns.
The pharmacy has long-term goals to expand and develop the clinical services offered, meaning there will be future opportunities to learn, progress and get involved in enhancing community care. An existing independent prescriber qualification would be ideal so you can get straight into service development, but Pharmacists without this will also be considered - you would be offered additional training and the opportunity to gain your IP as part of your role.
Person specification :
* ( Essential ) GPhC-accredited MPharm degree or equivalent
* ( Essential ) Registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacist
* ( Desirable ) Qualified Independent Prescriber
* ( Desirable ) Welsh language skills
