Job description

First Light is a charity supporting people in Cornwall, Devon, Wiltshire and across England and Wales who have been affected by domestic abuse and Sexual Violence. We are independent of statutory agencies, including the Police, and every year we help thousands of adults and children in England and Wales to lead safer lives, free from violence and abuse.

An opportunity as the ISVA administrator has arisen covering the Swindon and Wiltshire Area. As the ISVA administrator, you will be the initial point of contact for our clients and assisting them with the relevant support which they can access through our services as well as keeping accurate records and reports.

Salary : £21,275 per annum rising to £22,103 per annum on successful completion of probation.

Hours : 37.5 hours per week

Contract : fixed term until 31st March 2025

Key responsibilities:

  • To provide administrative support to the Director of Sexual Violence Service, Wiltshire ISVA Service and Managers and Team Leaders in tasks relating to the service
  • Create, develop, implement and maintain administrative systems
  • Develop, implement and maintain data systems, including data inputting
  • Maintain data integrity and compile and prepare reports and presentations using Word, Excel and PowerPoint in accordance with reporting deadlines
  • To ensure data integrity of Client Management System. Collate monthly/quarterly data and present to the Director of Sexual Violence Services, Wiltshire ISVA Service and Manager and Team Leaders within the given deadline
  • To provide clear and concise information to clients regarding First Light services and other agencies
  • To maintain electronic diaries and appointment procedures
  • To ensure that all referral paperwork is processed effectively
  • To support the admin team in effectively dealing with enquiries, either in person, on the telephone, and using own initiative to take action, highlight priorities and redirect enquiries in an efficient and prompt manner
  • To maintain confidentiality as required within the role and to be able to work on issues of a sensitive or confidential nature in a confident and capable manner

Essential requirements:

  • English Language and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent grade C or above
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office)
