We are now looking for anIT Asset Manager to manage both our hardware and software asset lifecycle!
About the Role
- Working with managers to raise awareness of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) processes and standards across the organisation, through communication with and education of stakeholders.
- Maintaining an up to date asset register as well as monitoring and reporting our use of software assets and software services to ensure we operate within the terms of the licence agreement and optimise software.
- Develop and enhance existing processes for both hardware and software asset management.
- Identifying areas for cost savings through the identification of shelfware, alternative support options, rationalisation, licence recycling and optimal licensing practices.
About You
- Previous experience in software and hardware asset management and ideally, certification by a recognized national or international IT or IT asset management professional association.
- Understanding of asset management systems, such as SCCM, InTune, JAMF or similar.
- Experience with software inventory and reporting tools, such as SNOW.
- Hands-on experience of information gathering, analysis and reporting on an organisation's assets.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix-management environment, as well as external vendors and service providers.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate and collaborate with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
