My client is a leading global blue-chip organisation based in Birmingham. They are currently recruiting for an interim IT Category Manager to join the team on a 6 month contract. The role will work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
Your new role
The IT Category Manager is a senior role and is responsible for the development and implementation of category strategies for Technology and Digital across the organisation. The role will ensure category spend maximises cost saving and value delivery on a global basis. The IT Category Manger will develop strategic supplier partnerships, driving high performance which is aligned with environmental and sustainability targets. The post holder will also lead high value and business critical IT procurement projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be a senior Category Manager or Procurement Manager with significant experience of managing IT spend within a large and complex organisation. Ideally, you will have previous experience of supporting a global business. Proven expertise in managing large scale IT projects, and business change is vital to success.
What you'll receive in return
You will receive a salary of £75,000 to £90,000 pro rata. The organisation may also consider candidates on a day rate basis.
