IT Category Manager - 12 Month FTC - End Use Tech - Strategic
Locations: Preferred is Milton Keynes, but Manchester or Leeds are options for the right candidate
The Business:

Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder management is key - influencing and building relationships to make sure key stakeholders understand 'best in practice' procurement and how their decisions impact the cost base of the business
- Opportunity assessment - identifying areas where savings can be achieved within the IT category area and driving this agenda
- Effective Category Strategy development and implementation within the technology space
- Lead management of category spend within the end use technology and hardware areas
- Lead on supplier selection - ensuring proper due diligence around risk and sustainability as well as being responsible for the contract meeting business needs
- You won't be leading on the actual hands on sourcing, but more on the strategy/stakeholder engagement side
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the IT category, specifically within end use technology and hardware
- Commercial skill-set, able to strategise, advise and project manage
- Excellent ability to influence and foster lasting relationships
- Experience within FS and understanding the environment would be helpful - e.g. an understanding of FCA and PRA reg's
- Strong resilience
- Able to draft and negotiate contracts
