An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our IT Service Operations Team as an IT Change Analyst.

The IT Service Operations Teams are a highly skilled and dedicated group of experts, responsible for the stability of service for Covea’s users and customers across a wide range of technology. We use our technology to enable our teams to provide great service to our customers when they need us most.

We are on the lookout for someone with a passion for solving problems, a hunger to provide great service and a burning desire to do the right thing.

What will I be doing?

You can expect your role in IT Service Operations to vary greatly day-to-day. Here’s a taster of some of the work you’ll be getting involved in.

  • Conduct detailed reviews of change requests to ensure they meet the organisations policy for the management of change to live service.
  • Challenge requests that fail to meet the required standards.
  • Provide support and guidance to change requestors to help them navigate the change process effectively.
  • Ensure individual Change Requests are progressed through their lifecycle to closure and that all relevant updates are accurately captured prior to closure.
  • Consider the forward schedule of change, identifying key business events that could lead to potential conflicts and work with requestors to resolve this.
  • Support preparation for the Change Advisory Board and step in to provide facilitation and chairing of Change Advisory Board where required.
  • Instigate Post Change Reviews in accordance with change policy requirements and ensure that these are completed on time and to a satisfactory standard.
  • Identify key periods of business risk where the instigation of additional protective measures may be necessary to protect the business from intolerable levels of service disruption.
  • Encourage and support colleagues to adhere to the Change Control policy and process.
  • Support preparation of M.I. covering relevant aspects of the change process.
  • Contribute to the identification and proposal of improvements to the change control process and procedures.
  • Contribute to the evolution of change control within the ITSM toolset.

What would we like to see in you?

  • Experience of working within IT Change Control
  • In-depth experience of IT Service Management Tools - preferably Service Now
  • Knowledge of IT Major Incident & Problem Management processes
  • Data Analysis knowledge and experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads
  • Effective stakeholder management
  • ITIL V4 Foundation - preferable, not essential
