Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking an experienced IT Director to join the team at a crucial point of growth for the business. The IT Director will play a pivotal role in maturing and modernizing the IT function, aligning it with the evolving needs of our partners in the changed business environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished IT professional to lead a team and make a significant impact on the organization's technology landscape.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement a strategic vision for the IT function that supports the business objectives.

- Lead and manage a diverse team, including the help desk, engineers, and DevOps, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the efficient delivery of IT services and support.

- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and secure operations.

- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, systems, and software to improve operational efficiency and drive innovation.

- Manage relationships with external vendors and strategic partners to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects and services.

- Monitor and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and driving continuous process enhancements.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an IT Director or similar leadership role in a complex IT environment.

- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and operations, with expertise in areas such as networking, security, cloud technologies, and software development.

- Demonstrated experience in driving IT transformation and modernization initiatives.

- Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and partners.

- Experience in financial services or a similar industry is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with hybrid working models and the ability to effectively manage remote teams.
