Fantastic IT Helpdesk Support Analyst role based in Macclesfield.
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled IT Helpdesk Support Analyst to join our team in Macclesfield. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing top-notch technical support to our clients, ensuring the smooth operation of their IT systems and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
First-Line Support:
- Act as the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues, providing prompt and courteous assistance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems.
Incident Management:
- Log and track support requests through the helpdesk system.
- Prioritise and escalate issues as needed to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
Customer Communication:
- Communicate technical solutions in user-friendly language to ensure client understanding.
- Provide regular updates to users on the status of their support requests.
Remote and On-Site Support:
- Provide remote assistance to users via phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
- Conduct on-site visits when necessary to resolve complex issues or perform hardware/software installations.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of support processes, troubleshooting steps, and issue resolutions.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other IT team members to share knowledge and enhance overall team performance.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of IT systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Helpdesk Support Analyst or in a similar role.
- Technical proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware, and software applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
