The role – IT Infrastructure Engineer

The salary - £45,000 - £50,000

The location – Falkirk

Initially 5 days on-site, then moving to a minimum of 3 days on-site once fully settled into role.

We’re working with a fantastic organisation who are looking to add an IT Infrastructure Engineer with a specialist focus on Azure. As part of the specialist IT infrastructure team you’ll work alongside a team dedicated to delivering on Azure based infrastructure, delivering high level technical support and supporting with IT projects.

Your day-to-day:

• Be the infrastructure expert on all-things Azure with a focus on configuring, optimizing and maintaining core services within Azure.
• Design, implement and support Azure services.
• Be responsible for business as usual infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support.
• Work with project teams to support with the delivery of new services.
• Support with infrastructure security.
• Work within the team to implement the organisations infrastructure as code strategy.
• Be a point of support for colleagues, delivering mentoring and assistance with training when needed.
• A good understanding of network based knowledge (TCP/IP) and routing is desirable.

About you:

• Experience with Azure infrastructure is essential.
• Experience delivering high level technical support both in-person and remotely.
• Experience working within an IT support environment and working on infrastructure related projects.
• Understanding of networking (TCP/IP) and routing.
• A willingness to act as a mentor to colleagues and deliver training.
• Azure certifications (Azure administrator, Azure architect etc.) are highly desirable.
